The Ambrosia Restaurant in Ajmer which is 8 yrs old rooftop restaurant, located in the heart of the city. Serving one of the best non-veg and veg delicacies, Ambrosia has been designed with indoors and the Patio setup with Cabanas which makes the ambiance Quite romantic. And let me mention that it is the only place offering such sitting in the whole city. Deriving its name from Greek Civilization, the meaning of this place is – “The food of God”.

My Visit at Ambrosia Restaurant
Recently, a trend of bloggers table has made city people more knowledgeable about food options available. And thanks to The Digital Socialite, I was also part of it.
So, Let’s begin my food journey @ Ambrosia Restaurant !!
MOCKTAILS:
They served us various types of different mocktails, all of which are part of a daily menu. My favorite one was Smoked Chach. Regular Chach with that after sip smoking flavor. Definitely recommended!
Cranberry Surprise
(Cranberry Juice, lemon, black salt topped with lemonade)
Mango Freeze
(Mango & tropical fruit nectar blended with ice & honey)
Smoked chaach
(Buttermilk infused with a smokey flavor)
STARTERS:
Since the Tasting was of both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian delicacies, there were 2 veg starters and 2 non-veg starters. Was happy to see a different delicacy named Birds’ Nest from usual starters available in regular North Indian Joints.
Veg Chaska Kabab
(Delightful Kababs made of mashed vegetables and potatoes with a hung curd center)
Dahi kebabs, also known as dahi ke kebab are one the most loved vegetarian starter in north India. Here at Ambrosia, the presentation was little different with open kebabs filled with curd. And yes it is totally worth trying that soft mouth melting interior texture while they are crisp from outside.
Birds Nest
(A unique, tasty and quirky combination of potatoes and Paneer)
Edible bird’s nests?? Yes, you heard it right and that too is a vegetarian starter. It is their unique in-house preparation, a rare starter exactly in the shape of bird’s nest.
This Starter definitely nailed on presentation part. Though it was a bit bland for my taste buds, I always believe one should always try Chef’s Special Experimentation, which actually brings extreme efforts of the kitchen to our table.
MAIN COURSE:
Ambrosia Restaurant, Ajmer
Daal Ambrosia
(Black lentils cooked with tomato puree and ginger garlic paste along with spices)
Black lentils cooked overnight and simmered with tomatoes, ginger, garlic, cream & butter on hot ember, the 8-hour cooking process giving it an unbeatable flavor and texture. Daal Ambrosia is definitely worth trying.

Reshmi Palak
(Crunchy spinach patty rolled into a delicious spinach gravy)
To be honest I really don’t like Green Gravy or to specifically mention anything made of Palak…..that’s a childhood phobia. But after as insisted by fellow bloggers and the host I decided to give it a try. Trust me it was one of the best dishes that evening. It’s like you place one bite in the mouth and it disappears leaving a Reshmi touch and squashy flavor behind.

Bhutte Ki Sabji
(Pieces of whole corn cooked in a rich tomato gravy, another Ambrosia original)
There would be rarely someone, who did not have fallen in love for corns once in life. The bhutta meets the curry alongside a lachaa parantha or steamed rice. What more can one ask for. Now the twist here was that it wasn’t a regular corn-gravy delicacy but big chunks of Corn added to that delicious tomato gravy. Definitely to be eaten by hands and bring you a step closer to Marwadi Culture.
DESSERTS:
We were served with 3 different desserts, of which my favorite was Malai Kesar Kulfi. Though I am not a huge dessert fan but I have special love for Kulfi and the beautiful way it was served here tempted me to like it over other desserts.
Malai Kesar Kulfi:
(Kulfi topped with delicious Rabdi, dry fruits, and silver leaf)
Shahi Tukda
(Deep fried sugar dipped toast topped with rabdi, dry fruits and Sliver Leaf)
I was accompanied by few of the top bloggers from Ajmer. Mr. Prashant Bhardwaj who is the owner of Ambrosia Restaurant explained us how the believe in constant staff training and development, which undoubtedly elevates the experience of every visitor. Overall it was a nice experience and undoubtedly this is one of the finest rooftop options available in the City. And i enjoyed my evening completely. And yes!!! I would definitely recommend this place to every reader.
